The template file you selected contains frames, so we'll have to decide which frames
will be used to display different parts of the menu. You can choose each frame by typing its name manually
(
show me where) or simply by clicking on one of the frames from
a visual preview (
show me where).
The first frame to be set (top-level menu frame) is where the top-level menu
(the menu bar which is always visible) will be inserted.
This is usually the top or left frame in a frameset configuration.
Please choose a frame for the top-level menu now.
When you're done setting the top-level menu frame, switch the active frame from "top-level menu frame"
to "pop-up menu frame"
(show me where).
The next frame to be set is where the pop-up menus will appear. Please note that ALL pop-up menus MUST appear
in a single frame. It's impossible to show pop-ups over different frames.
This can be the same frame as the top-level frame, if you wish.
When you're done setting the pop-up menu frame, switch the active frame from "pop-up menu frame"
to "default target frame"
(show me where).
The third frame to be set is the default target for the menu links. This is the frame where links (URLs)
defined by menu items
(both top-level and pop-up) will be opened by default (you can set different targets for specific menu items in the properties window).
This is usually the same frame as the pop-up frame but it
can also be a special window name such as "_blank"
(this will open all URLs in a new browser window), "_top" or "_parent".
When you're done setting the default target frame, switch the template view to "insertion point"
(show me where).
Insertion point is a spot in the template file where the top-level menu (the menu bar) will appear on the HTML page.
You can select this spot simply by clicking the left mouse button in appropriate location in the template window
(show me where).
Please note that the chosen insertion spot is marked by a vertical red marker.
Click here when you're done selecting the insertion spot (when the red marker
shows the correct insertion spot)
Warning: If the template file source is empty (no HTML code appears), the insertion frame for the top-level menu
is either an empty file, it doesn't exist, or is accessed by the HTTP protocol from the frameset page.
If this is the case,
then in order to be able to select
the insertion spot, this file must be saved on a local disk in appropriate directory.
This directory (usually it is a relative path) is specified in the "src"
attribute of the <frame> tag located in the frameset page.
When you fix the problem, go back and try re-entering
the template file.
